Rules for Renewal of Membership/ Application for New Members

ALL EXISTING AND NEW MEMBERS will automatically be affiliated to England Athletics regardless of age or status within the club.

A fee is only payable by the club for athletes aged 11 or over and therefore the fee will be collected as part of the membership fee which is due on 1st April. All athletes aged 10 or over on 1st April will pay the higher membership fee. The England Athletics Affiliation Secretary (EAAS) will be responsible for maintaining the Track & Field Members records at England Athletics and will ensure that when athletes turn 11 years of age they are moved from social status to competitive status.

RENEWAL OF MEMBERSHIP FOR EXISTING MEMBERS –renewals are due on 1st April. There is no need to complete new membership forms but any existing member who did not have a URN with England Athletics for the 2009/2010 season will need to complete an England Athletics Membership Form.

Existing Members must ensure that membership fees have been paid (or an arrangement to pay has been agreed with the Treasurer) at least 48 hours before any member wishes to compete for the Club, so that the EAAS has the opportunity to renew their URN with England Athletics.

NEW MEMBERS- must have joined the Club and paid all fees in full at least 14 days before competing for the Club to enable the EAAS time to register their details with England Athletics and to obtain them a URN.

Team Managers will not be able to select athletes to compete in team competition for the Club if the athlete has not completed the appropriate paper work/paid the appropriate fees.

This new procedure will help prevent the Club and Athletes from falling foul of England Athletics rules. England Athletics have made it clear that any athletes competing without a paid up URN may face a 12 month ban from competition.
